We would like to start by thanking all the pilots that have provided feedback to the first draft of the Conditions & Pay Proposal (CPP). We are now working on collecting all inputs and preparing draft 2 for pilot consideration. We encourage pilots to reach out to their ERCs to receive the latest version of the CPP. Pilots can also contact the Interim EERC directly on email@example.com to receive a copy.
Last week saw the visit of our friends from APA (Allied Pilots Association) and SWAPA (Southwest Airlines Pilots’ Association) to various pilot meetings in Dublin and London Stansted. During these meetings, amazing levels of unity were displayed – contrary to the propaganda messages from HQ, there is little discord in the pilot body. We are all fighting for the same basic principles:
- New contracts for all pilots operating Ryanair aircraft with adaptation to national legislation.
- Independent and professional representation for meaningful collective bargaining.
- Terms and Conditions allowing pilots to consider Ryanair a career airline.
- An end to a culture where professional pilots are seen as overpaid peacocks rather than vitalassets to the future prosperity of the airline.
Ensuring the integrity of our operation to avoid further passenger inconvenience over the coming holiday period and summer 2018.
The meetings in Dublin were attended by the ERCs as well as pilots from the 3 Irish bases: DUB, ORK, SNN. The ERCs of these bases represent some 290 pilots on various contracts.
During these meetings a proposal from the pilots was prepared by DUB, ORK & SNN ERCs and presented for consideration:
Dublin, Cork and Shannon agreed to come together as a single Ireland ERC and gave a mandate to have all future negotiations lead by the EERC
Attached to this letter is a template voting sheet. The Interim EERC asks all bases to follow the Irish bases’ initiative and host a local vote to join DUB, ORK and SNN in committing to only negotiate as a single unit under the leadership of the EERC. Please communicate the outcome of the local vote to firstname.lastname@example.org.
